Amazon is one of the most popular affiliate programs on the net, however one problem that many affiliates face with Amazon is that the products change so quick, prices changing daily and no product feeds. This can make creating an Amazon affiliate site quite difficult unless you use their Ashop, which gives you very little control over the site and no control over the content.

Fresh Store Builder is a great piece of software which allows you to create your own, auto updating Amazon store in minutes! You can literally have a store up and running in under 10 minutes. Fresh Store Builder normally costs $197, however we have managed to get a $100 discount just for sitey.net readers! That means that you get it for just $97! It’s a one off payment that includes unlimited sites and free updates!

Fresh Store Builder is definitely the best Amazon affiliate site builder I have seen. It comes with a handful of different professional looking themes and also allows you to create your own if you want. Rather than each product linking through to Amazon, it has its own basket which transfers to Amazon. This helps to make your site feel more like a real ecommerce site rather than an affiliate site. To make it easy to show you the store, I have put together a demo store which you can view here: Home Security Kits.

As with all my reviews, I tested this software properly first. I had 12 domains which where sat with a single article on them and not making any money at all. All 12 were somewhere in the first 3 pages for their main terms, based purely on the domain and the article I had put up and most were around a year old. I had done nothing to try and make money from these domains, so I decided that I would quickly install Fresh Store Builder onto each of the domains. It took me just over 2 hours to get a basic site up on each of the domains (which works out at around 10 minutes per site as I said).

Does Fresh Store Builder Work?

One word – YES! From the 12 domains that I setup, I made 23 sales resulting in £87.81 (around $140) in commission in 4 weeks. That’s just from a basic install with no customisation done at all. It wont make me rich, but it means the domains are earning money while I wait to develop them properly. Each domain costs be £7 ($10) for 2 years (all UK domains), so it 2 years, each domain should make an average of £175 ($275) back! Not bad for 10 minutes work!

Developing Quality Sites With Fresh Store Builder

Unlike some of the Amazon store builders which create low quality scraped sites from Amazon, Fresh Store Builder allows you to create a unique and high quality site. You have full control over the design and theme, you can rewrite the description of each product, setup your own categories, add pages of content such as how to guides etc and so much more – if you want to! As well as the 12 standard installs above, I had 2 sites which were running on WordPress. I’ve converted these to Fresh Store Builder (unfortunately no automatic way so all have to be done manually). I spent around 3 hours on each of these sites. One has seen sales go up from an average of 5 or 6 sales per month to around 15 sales per month which is an extra £25 ($40) per month, while the other has seen sales go up from around 30 sales per month to 50, generating an extra £80 ($120) per month.

Installing Fresh Store Builder

Installing Fresh Store Builder is easy. Simply upload all of the files to your host and then go to the domain. You will need to give it the database details and then a few basic details about the site and your Amazon tracking code and keys. Once that’s done, you can login to the admin control panel and start playing around with your new store.

Adding Products

This is one of the best things about this Amazon Store Builder. There are so many different ways of importing products into the site. You can search through products by keyword and add them to the site with a single click, or add a whole list of ASINs and they will automatically be imported. You can populate a site with hundreds of products in a couple of minutes

Editing Products

When you import the products, it automatically uses a spun description for the products. It obviously doesn’t give much information about the product, but it helps to get some content on the page. The content can all be edited at any stage and you have full control over everything down to the Meta tags for each product. I’m slowly working through each of my sites, rewriting decent quality descriptions for each product.

Spinning

As I mentioned above, you can use the built in spun descriptions for each article, or alternatively you can plug “The Best Spinner” into it and it will spin your content for you!

Additional Content

This is where this software really stands apart from some of the others. You can use it as a CMS to add extra pages of content – for example buying guides, tips and advice etc. As with the products, you have full control over the content of the pages, the URLs, page names, meta information and pretty much everything you could think of!

Categories

Once you have added all of your products in, it will automatically group them by manufacturer, however if you want to spend a little time you can add products into categories (or even sub categories) as I have on the above demo site. Each of the categories that you create can also have more content added to it. This means that you can pad out each of the pages with some text to help with SEO and stop your site looking like a thin affiliate site.

Reports

You can install Google Analytics into Fresh Store Builder easily (it asks for the tracking ID when you set it up!), however there isn’t a lot of built in tracking/reporting. This isn’t a problem for me as I use Analytics, however it may have been nice to have some sort of basic visitor stats in it.

One report that they do have that is very useful though is a list of the checkouts. This shows you the date and time of the checkout, how the user arrived at your site (including search term if relevant) and what they bought. For some reason it shows each sale 4 times.

There is also a basic overview on the very front page of the admin control panel which allows you to see at a glance how many checkouts you have made. One thing to remember though is that a checkout is not necessarily a sale! I find that around 50% or so of the checkouts result in a sale.

Fresh Store Builder Discount

As I mentioned at the very start of the review, Fresh Store Builder is normally $197. On their own website, they are currently giving a Fresh Store Builder Discount of $50, however I have managed to secure an exclusive Fresh Store Builder Discount with the creators of $100! That’s over a 50% discount! This is the best Fresh Store Builder discount available, giving you full access to the current version and all updates for unlimited sites for just $97!!

As most of you will know, Yahoo Site Explorer has now closed. I wont go into what YSE was or why it was used, if you used it, you’ll already know.

Anyway, now that the only decent free backlink checker has closed its door, many people are now looking for an alternative to Yahoo Site Explorer, and we have found one which offers both a free and paid service!

Ahrefs

Ahrefs.com provide a free account which gives you 100 queries per day, with 500 results per report. While its not as good as Yahoo’s offering, its free and its not bad for those looking to get backlink information for a few sites.

For those of us that want a little more though, they offer 4 paid packages which are:

EnterpriseAdvanced analysis$499 monthly

EliteFor agencies$179 monthly

ProfessionalMost popular$79 monthly

BasicFor Beginners$49 monthly

Backlinks & SERPs analysis:

20’000 results per query

10’000 queries per day

500 standard reports

Raw Export: 200M backlinks

Export to CSV

+Bonus: 50000 API Units

Backlinks & SERPs analysis:

5’000 queries per day

200 standard reports

Raw Export: 50M backlinks

Export to CSV

+Bonus: 18000 API Units

Backlinks & SERPs analysis:

5’000 results per query

2’000 queries per day

100 standard reports

Raw Export: 20M backlinks

Export to CSV

+Bonus: 8000 API Units

Backlinks & SERPs analysis:

2’500 results per query

500 queries per day

20 standard reports

Raw Export: 5M backlinks

Export to CSV

+Bonus: 5000 API Units

The $49 per month package provides 2,500 results per query – thats more than double the amount you got from Yahoo Site Explorer and a maximum of 500 queries per day which is enough for most people. However if you need more queries or more results, the $79 per month package may be the best option, which is also the best value for those that need more than 500 queries or want to see more than 2,500 links.

In my previous article, Free Unique Content From MyBlog Guest, I mentioned how you could use the MyBlogGuest network to get free good quality content for your website. Obviously that content has to come from somewhere – and thats where the other side of MyBlogGuest comes in.

For $20 per month, you can get a pro account on MyBlogGuest. This gives you various benefits over a free account, the biggest being that you can publish your articles in the Gallery for others to publish.

Each article needs to be unique, and good enough quality to attract the good quality sites, so if you are looking for another place to submit spun articles – this isn’t it! This is what I class as “high quality link building”. You spend a little bit of time writing a good piece of writing, its then published on a high quality and relevent site. You can then use this as a buffer page to create a high quality, high page rank, relevent link.

Its easy to submit your articles to the Gallery. Just paste your title, article, tags and author bio in, then upload any images that you have and you are done. The article will appear in the gallery immediately, however moderators do check through the articles, so if your article doesn’t meet their criteria it will be hidden until you sort the problem out. Once the article is live in the gallery you will start to receive offers. Depending on the niche of the article, from my experience, this will vary from 2-5 offers per day.

An example of the offers received on a technology article I submitted within 2 days are:

Offer 1: PR5, General Blog, 200k Alexa Rank

Offer2: PR3, Tech Blog, 33,000 Alexa Rank

Offer 3:PR3, Tech Blog, 122,000 Alexa Rank

Offer 4:PR3, Tech Blog, 872,000 Alexa Rank

Offer 5:PR3, Tech Blog, 2,845,000 Alexa Rank

Offer 6:PR3, Tech Blog, 3,344,000 Alexa Rank

Offer 7:PR2, Tech Blog, 954,000 Alexa Rank

Offer 8:PR2, General Blog, 245,000 Alexa Rank

Offer 9:PR1, Tech Blog, 2,154,000 Alexa Rank

Obviously thats not the order I received them in, its sorted by PR, relevence and then Alexa Rank. I accepted offer 2, which means my article is currently on a PR3, relevent site with an Alexa rank of 33,000 – it’s still linked to off the homepage at the minute! Not only is it a really good link, but its passing relevent traffic direct from that article to my site.

From the 11 articles I have published so far, the sites the articles have been published on are:

Article 1: PR5, General Blog, 113,000 Alexa rank

Article 2: PR3, Niche Blog, 290,000 Alexa rank

Article 3: PR2, Niche Blog, 1,524,000 Alexa rank

Article 4: PR3, General Blog, 80,000 Alexa rank

Article 5: PR3, Niche Blog, 33,000 Alexa rank – this is the one mentioned above

Article 6: PR3, Niche Blog, 2,209,000 Alexa rank

Article 7: PR2, Niche Blog, 4,170,000 Alexa rank

Article 8: PR4, Niche Blog, 428,000 Alexa rank

Article 9: PR5, General Blog, 113,000 Alexa rank – Same site as article 1

Article 10: PR3 General Blog, 78,000 Alexa rank

Article 11: PR1 Niche Blog, 953,000 Alexa rank

As you can see, there are quite a few high Alexa ranking sites on there which should bring in a fair bit of traffic. The general blogs are all high quality sites, with all the articles published in relevent categories. These are real sites, that people subscribe to and read – not the typical splogs from networks like Linkamotion.

Most of the sites do not advertise the fact that they do guest posts, and 2 of the 11 sites I have published on actually charge you to post guest posts on there if you contact them directly (the first wanted $50 per post, the second wanted $100 per post) – but they will take your articles from MyBlogGuest for FREE!

If you are looking to add some quality link building into you link building efforts, I cant recommend MyBlogGuest enough! One of my sites was sitting at number 5 for a fairly competitive term, after publishing one of the articles (Article 2 in the list above), the site jumped to number 3, a couple of days later it went to number 2, then finally number 1. It sat at number 1 for 3 days before dropping back to number 2 where it has been for over a week now. No other linkbuilding has been done on that site during that time! I built some links into the article using Article Marketing Robot and SocialAdr during this time which may have helped though.

As we all know, writing good quality unique content can be very time consuming. We have previously discussed how to outsource article writing, however this obviously costs quite a bit. This is where MyBlogGuest.com comes in.

What Is MyBlogGuest

MyBlogGuest is basically a quick and easy way for guest bloggers to get in contact with blog owners and have their articles published. Blog owners can create a free account and choose browse a whole range of articles in the “Article Gallery”. Guest bloggers who want to post their articles on the site for blog owners to publish will be required to have a Pro account which costs $20 per month and allows you to submit unlimited articles into the gallery.

Free Unique Articles For Publishers

If you have a blog and you are looking for some good quality, unique content, MyBlogGuest could be the answer. In return for each article, you are required to keep any links intact. These are normally relevent sites, with links in the body and/or author bio. It is free for publishers to sign up and use articles.

You can browse articles by category in the “article gallery” or alternatively search by keyword. Once you find an article which looks suitable, you will be shown a preview of the article, which is normally the first paragraph. You can then make an offer for the article. This sends an email to the author, telling them that you are interested in publishing their article and the details about your website. The author can then make a decision on whether to accept your offer or reject it and publish it on a different site.

If they accept your offer, you will be sent an email with a link to the full article. You can then simply copy the article which is given to you in HTML format and post it to your blog. If your blog is using wordpress, you can set it up so that MyBlogGuest will automatically put the articles into your site as drafts. You can then login and publish them when you want.

Once you have the article published, you simply log back into MyBlogGuest and give them the URL of the article. At this point MyBlogGuest will check that you have not changed the article. If you are caught making unacceptable changes to the article (such as removing links) your account, IP, email and website will be banned and you will no longer be able to request articles. Obviously certain changes such as fixing spelling mistakes and formatting changes etc are allowed.

Obviously each article will have multiple offers, so in order to improve the chances of your offer being accepted there are a few things you should do:

Only make offers for relevent sites. For example, if you have a site about pets do not make offers on articles about technology.

Send the author a message. When you make an offer on the article, you will be able to send a message to the author. Spend a minute to write a relevent message to them and tell them about your site.

Ensure your site uses dofollow links. Most authors will not publish their articles on site which are nofollow or use any sort of redirect.

Add sites with a decent PageRank. Obviously the authors want the best quality links possible. If you add a PR3 site to the system it is far more likely to get articles than if you add a PR0 site.

Ensure that your site is setup so that the article will at least be linked to from the homepage for a short while. If your blog is in some random directory which isnt linked to from your homepage, again, chances are the author wont be interested in your site.

While taking all of these points into account, you should try and make offers on as many relevent articles as possible. Remember, irrelevent articles dont help you or the author. I have a PR2 site and PR3 site currently in the system and both are receiving around 7 articles per day. These are good quality, relevent articles, each 500-1,000 words – for free! Similar articles, if outsourced, would cost $10 each easily. This means each of these sites is getting around $300 worth of content for free.

One of the staples of any link building campaign is directory submissions. The biggest problem is that they take so long to do. Each submission can easily take a couple of minutes. When you are submitting each site to thousands of different directories, this not only gets very time consuming, but very boring!

Fortunately there are programs to help with directory submission automation. Sliq Submitter is by far the best I have used for many reasons and is also one of the cheapest. You can order Sliq Submitter here.

Sliq Submitter Directories

Sliq submitter comes preloaded with 2085 directories. These are broken down into the following PageRanks; 1 x PR6, 11 x PR5, 45 x PR4, 141 x PR3, 221 x PR2, 328 x PR1 and 1338 x PR0. You can add your own directories into Sliq Submitter, which will automatically check each of the URLs and check what script each runs on and then add it into the list. No messing around manually adding sites or checking them by hand, everything is done automatically for you.

Directory Listing Details

For each site that you want to submit, you will need to add a URL, title, description, keywords, name and email. All of these can be spun, except the URL obviously. You can also add multiple titles.

Selecting Directory Categories

One of the most annoying things about directory submissions is selecting the categories. A lot of programs will just select a random category which obviously decreases your success rate. Sliq Submitter uses your keywords to select the most relevent category. It also has the ability to “learn” the categories that you want your site to be listed in. As the submissions are running, if it cant find a category which is suitable, it will show you the list and remember which one you select. For example, if you are a web designer and have the keywords “web design”, “website designer” and “web”, if the Sliq Submitter tries to submit to a directory which has categories any categories that match your keywords it will be submitter, this includes “web designer” and “website designer” as you have the keyword “web”.

If the Sliq Submitter then tries to submit and there are no “web” categories, you will be able to select the relevent category. Lets say in this example you select “graphic designer”. If the software finds anymore directories which do not have “web” categories, it will automatically try and submit to “graphic designer” instead. This really speeds up the submission speed. Once you have done around 20-30, you should have most of the options covered and it will run through on its own without any more input.

Captchas

Around half of the directories have captchas on them. Fortunarely Sliq Submitter can use DeathByCaptcha, Decaptcha or Captcha Sniper so you dont need to worry about this. Obviously with the number of directories, this can soon start costing quite a bit if you use DeathByCaptcha or Decaptcha, so Captcha Sniper is the best option.

Speed

Depending on your computer and internet spec the speed will vary, but I have been getting around 40 submissions per minute. This means that you can submit 1 site to all 2,000 directories in under 1 hour.

Success Rate

This will depend on how much time you put into selecting the categories. With a little time and helping Sliq Submitter learn the categories for the first 30 sites or so, you can easily get 1700 submissions out of the list of 2000. Most of the directories will need to be approved by the directory owner, so the number of directories that your link appears on will vary. Click here to buy Sliq Submitter.

Find Listings

Possibly the best feature of Sliq Submitter, the ability to find approved listings! After submitting your site to all the directories, leave it for a month or so and then run the “Find Listings” feature. This will then go to each site and check to see if your site is listed in it, allowing you to find the directories which actually have links to your site.

Sliq Submitter Price

Now this is the best thing, Sliq Submitters price. For unlimited submissions, you can purchase Sliq Submitter for $24.99 for 3 months unlimited use or $49.99 for 1 years unlimited use! If you have multiple sites to link to, this is a well worth purchase. Many services would charge you more than this just for submitting 1 site to the 2,000 directories. Click here to order Sliq Submitter for just $24.99.

Sliq Submitter Review

Don’t just take my word for how good this is, there is a free trial which allows you to submit to 100 directories. Give it a go and see how well it works, if you like it, buy the full version and get submitting all of your sites! Click here to get your free trial of Sliq Submitter.

At last – a decent Captcha Solver that you run from your computer – Captcha Sniper!

Captcha Sniper is an automated Captcha solving program which you run from your computer. It automatically solves over 30 different captchas instantly without any costs! And the number of platforms and captchas is growing all the time.

Captcha Sniper Discount

I was burning around $20 a week ($80 a month) on Decaptcher credits, however this has cut that cost down to pretty much $0! The cost? Its normally a $97 one off, lifetime license, however for our readers we have secured a Captcha Sniper discount of $20 so it will cost you just $77! Again this is a one off fee, with free lifetime updates! To get the Captcha Sniper discount, click here!

The Captcha Sniper is pretty much instant at solving the captchas that are sent to it, which will also reduce the time taken by your software as its a lot quicker than using Decaptcher or DeathByCaptcher, making it a great alternative.

The software is extremely easy to setup, and in the event you run into any problems the creator is happy to connect to your computer and get everything up and running for you. As the software works by intercepting requests to Decaptcher, it works with pretty much all of the automation software available, including, scrapebox, scrapeboard, sick submitter, articles marketing robot, power directory submitter and much more.

In just a few days the creator has already released 2 updates, constantly improving the software and adding extra functionality. He has also made it clear that the price WILL be increasing soon. The full price is $197, however for the release he is selling it at $97 – but if you use our Captcha Sniper discount you can get it for just $77 by clicking here!

Captcha Sniper review

I have been using Captcha Sniper for a few days now and Im really happy with it. Im sure it will easily pay for itself within a couple of month – maybe sooner if the developer keeps adding support for extra Captchas. The software solves a captcha in around 2 seconds on my computer, so it is really fast. I have mainly been using it with Article Marketing Robot at the minute and have has a success rate of around 80%. With the failed sites I just run it again which solves most of them, bringing the total to around 96% after 2 runs. This is as good, if not better than the success rate I was getting from Decaptcher and DeathByCaptcha.

Each Captcher Sniper is allowed to be used on a single computer which is fine for a Captcha Sniper review, however as I use a couple of computers for automation I will need a second license at some point. Fortunately the creator is willing to provide second licenses at an even further discounted rate! If you want to find out how to get the discounted second license, leave a comment with a real email and I’ll get back to you. You will need to have bought a normal license using our special Captcha Sniper discount by clicking here first.

If you use any sort of automation program, YOU NEED CAPTCHA SNIPER! The price WILL go up soon, so get Captcha Sniper now for just $77. If you dont want the discount and you want to pay the full $97, or if you just want to find our a bit more about the software then feel free to go to their website at captchasniper.com

UPDATE – WHILE THIS WAS PREVIOUSLY 1,000 LINKS PER DAY, ITS NOW JUST A ONE OFF BLAST OF 1,000. STILL GOOD FOR A FREEBIE.

I had previously used 247Backlinks a few months back and not been very impressed with their results. However 247 Backlinks have now changed their entire interface, given you more options and it actually seems to work now!

As a FREE member, you get 1,000 scheduled backlinks every single day! You can create up to 25 projects, each can target a range of URLs and keywords. You then tell it how many of your 1,000 links you want to use each day (multiples of 100). Once you have chosen how many you want to build you have the choice of the type of links you would like. The choices are:

Forum Post Backlinks (6,143 domains ~95% success rate)

Forum Post Backlinks w/PageRank in Domain (1,423 domains ~95% success rate)

Blog Comment Backlinks (1,035,477 domains & 3,125,687 URLs ~3% success rate)

Obviously the blog comments are the worst option due to the low success rate the PR ones seem the best.

Finally, you have the option of how the blast is scheduled. You can either pick dates for it to run on, or you can choose which days of the week it should run on.

Thats it, everything done. Now just sit back and wait. After a few days of using this, Im more than happy to recommend it for free. Each day I receive a report of around 1,200 links (despite only have a 1,000 link package!). The links are typical forum spam in the format “take a look at this cool site – KEYWORD”, but they stand more chance of getting indexed than profile links I guess. Most of the sites are heavily spammed and some have questionable content, so not the type of links you want pointing to your money site, but good for indexing and boosting 2nd/3rd tier URLs.

From a typical report, I notice on average around 1150 are live when I check, so they definately deliver on the quantity. A quick scan of the PR shows:

PR6 x 5

PR5 x 26

PR4 x 73

PR3 x 320

PR2 x 287

PR1 x430

PRNA x 69

As you can see, there is a good breakdown in PR. Obviously, as there is only just over 1,000 sites in the PR list though these are the ones that get spammed the most so its possible the sites will either get closed, lose PR or get deindexed.

Do I recommend 247Backlinks? Definately. Do I recommend them for pointing to important/money sites? No chance! Will they help your links get indexed? Probably. Is it different to any other Xrumer blast? Not really – except its free!!

I have decided to create a new site and document the whole process on this site in some sort of case study. Unfortunately I will not be revealing the domain name or niche, however I will try and provide as much information as possible. The aim is to turn a brand new domain into a site which is making $100+ per month within a month. While $100 is not a lot, it would not be difficult to replicate this process over say 2o or 30 sites, which then becomes $2000-3000 per month!

The main keyphrase is 3 words, which according to the Google Keyword Tool gets 3,600 exact searches per month globally, 2,900 from the USA and 720 from the UK. I usually target the UK (UK domains and hosting) for most of my sites, however this site is an exact match domain on a .net domain and will be put on USA based hosting in order to target the USA.

There is very little competition for the main keyword on Google.com. The front page contains a newspaper article from the UK, buzzle and ezines articles, Amazon and Wikipedia, none of which are really optimised for the keyprase. The UK results are even weaker.

The site will run on WordPress and have 2 pages of content, the front page and a sales page. On top of that I will be adding 40 unique articles to site over the month (none for the first 10 days, then 2 per day for the next 20 days). Each of the articles are rewrites of existing articles on EzineArticles, however I have made a list of longtail keywords and buyer phrases which I’ll be using as titles and keyphrases within the articles. The first 10 days will be spent installing wordpress, creating the theme and writing the content for the site. The next 20 days I will publish 2 articles per day and also perform a bit of link building.

The linkbuilding will take the form of social bookmarking (each new article will be bookmarked on at least 20 decent bookmarking sites) and each article being spun before being distributed through Authority Link Network and Article Marketing Robot. I also plan on buying a few (probably 4) video “reviews” from Fiverr to use on the site and also for generating backlinks.

The keyphrase is in the weight loss area for a product which currently pays $45 minimum per signup, up to a possible $75 per signup. I think the average commission will be $50 per sale. If the site gets to number 1 for the main term and ranks for plenty of longtail keywords, I’m hoping the site will get at least 2,000 unique visitors per month within a couple of months. I have promoted weight loss products as an affiliate before so I’m not sure of the conversion rate, however if I say it converts at 0.1%, that would be 2 sales per month, making a total of $100 per month. If the sales are lower than that – I’ll switch from the affiliate product to AdSense which has a CPC of around $3 per click.

I will be doing everything “in house” except the video reviews so that I know exactely what is being done and when. Im pretty certain that I could complete all of the work within a day and then schedule it all, however I have other projects which require work at the same time so this will be spread over 1 month. I’ll install analytics on the site on day 10 and post the details about the traffic, rankings and hopefully conversions on here every week.

——-UPDATE———

I decided to leave the domain until today (day 10 when it was due to go live), however the domain was registered yesterday! This means that I’ll have to look for a new domain and as a result, this case study will not go live just yet.

In the previous Authority Link Network review post I mentioned that I would post a case study about the effects of Authority Link Network. While its still too early to get a feel for any improvement in the SERPS, I do have a decent size sample of the page ranks of the sites that the articles appear on.

This sample is taken from 4 articles which have been fully distributed across the network, giving a total of 60 articles and 180 backlinks.

Total articles submitted: 60

Total articles found in Google after 3 days: 38

So 20 of the articles have been live for 2-3 days, 20 articles have been live for 1-2 days and 20 articles have been live for less than 1 day. Thats not a bad indexing rate. Hopefully within a few more days that will increase to around 50+ indexed. As the only way you have of finding your links is searching for a string in Google, if they are not indexed the chances are they will never get indexed.

From the 38 articles the PR breakdown is as follows:

PR4: 6

PR3: 10

PR2: 4

PR1: 8

PR0: 10

This gives an average PR of 2.3 which is pretty good for a public network like this. Although the number of PR0 domains was a little discouraging. Im guessing these are domains which have dropped their PR since being added into the network.

From looking at my sites which are plugged into Authority Link Network, Im publishing anywhere from 10-20 articles per day. This means that your article is unlikely to be on the front page for very long, although the fact they are on the sites and getting indexed quickly is certainly a good thing. I’ll monitor the search engine rankings and see if it moves at all.

From the results so far it looks pretty good though. Articles can be resubmitted once they have been through the system, so you can use each article a handful of times and in theory get 60 or publications from a single article. All you need to pay for is the articles you put into the system (or write them yourself) and a high PR domain or two to put into the system, so these are relatively high quality “free” backlinks.

A free backlink packets service for you today. You will all of heard of Angelas backlinks and Pauls backlinks and how well they can work. There is another packet which while not as popular, is just as good – except its free! Paulie Ciara compiles a packet of 4 high PR sites which you can leave your backlinks on in a similar style to those from Angelas and Pauls packets and sends it out to his mailing list every week – totally free. Ok, its only 4 backlinks per week, but thats still 16 per month, and it doesnt cost anything. The packets are delivered straight to your inbox, just download them and you are done.

I have been receiving these packets for around 15 months now, so thats the information on where I can create high PR dofollow backlinks for around 240 sites. Obviously I dont do these myself, they are all outsourced via oDesk. At the minute I pay around $4-$5 for 120 high pr dofollow profiles, each profile will have 2 or 3 links in it so thats 240-360 dofollow links for $4-$5. They usuaully have their own packets, but I send them these as well as these tend to have not been hit quite as hard as Angelas/Pauls packets.

Some people insist that these links are “dead” now or that your site will be penalised for using them. They are wrong. I have a couple of sites that rank for long tail keywords based purely on profile links from these type of packets. I have used these on pretty much every site in with a mix of other backlinks and none have been “dropped” or “sandboxed”. You can also use these links to boost your mini nets and web 2.0 properties, which is the main thing that I use them for.

I will post another template for outsourcing profile link building, similar to the how to outsource article writing template that I posted earlier.

You can sign up for Paule Ciara’s free backlink mailing list here.

What is Authority Link Network

Authority Link Network is a blog network similar to Linkamotion, Build My Rank and Article Ranks with a couple of important differences.

Earning Points With Authority Link Network

Firstly, the blogs are not owned by Authority Link Network. Instead they are all owned by the members. You add your own sites to the network and in return you earn credits which allows you to post your own articles into the system free. If you want to use the network you must add blogs to the system, there is no paid option.

If you add a site, you earn points depending on the PR of the site at the following rate:

PR 1 sites: Your submission limit will be increased by 0.5 points.

PR 2 sites: Your submission limit will be increased by 1 points.

PR 3 sites: Your submission limit will be increased by 1.5 points.

PR 4 sites: Your submission limit will be increased by 3 points.

PR >5 sites: Your submission limit will be increased by 6 points.

These points are valid for all of the main domain extensions but exclude country domains except .co.uk and .com.au. All other countries receive half the listed points.

Publishing Articles into Authority Link Network

This means if you add 2 x PR2 sites you can submit 2 articles into the system per day, if you add 4 x PR3 sites you can submit 6 articles per day, etc.

Every article that you publish into the network is published to 3 articles per day over 5 days to a total of 15 sites. Each article must be at least 300 words and is allowed a total of 3 links per article, giving you a total of 45 links per article.

Articles are added into the system using the control panel on the website. Simply copy and past in the article title, body and tags. Then you need to complete 6 field to specify your link anchor texts and urls. You then edit your article post, replacing each of your links with %LINK1%, %LINK2% or %LINK3%. The system will then automatically insert the correct link when the article is published. All fields are spinnable and should be spun for best results. The articles will then be dripped into the network for the next 5 days.

How Many Sites In the Authory Link Network

There are just over 4,700 blogs in the Authority Link Network. While some of them may now be PR0 due to PR drops, most will still have PR. From my own results, the average seems to be around PR3, although I have no recorded records. The hightest I have had is PR5 and the lowest PR0, with most being PR2/3. I will record over the next few weeks the PR and post an update.

Authority Link Network Review

To summarise the Authority Link Network review, I’ll drop the main advantages and disadvantages into bullet points:

Advantages:

Its FREE!

Over 4,700 sites.

All the sites are privately owned – not owned by the network.

A huge range of IP addresses.

Easy to use.

Each article is published 15 times.

Each article contains 3 links.

Each article only has to be 300 words.

Did I mention its FREE?

Disadvantages:

No control over the articles that are published on your sites – although these should not be money sites anyway.

No categories for you to publish the articles to, all articles just go into “uncategorized”

Points do not “roll over”. You have to use them each day or you lose them.

No reporting – although this is pretty standard.

You need to sacrifice a domain with PR into the system – although this is a relatively low cost as it is all you need to pay!

Do I recommend Authority Link Network? Definately! The biggest “problem” with the network for me is the fact that the points do not roll over and that you can not “pre load” articles. If I had 2 x PR2 sites in the network, this would allow me 2 articles per day. I would like the option of leaving the network for 5 days and then adding 10 articles in one go, or alternatively adding 10 articles in on one day and it taking 2 articles per day to publish. This is more me being lazy and not wanting to go to the site each day to import articles rather than a real problem with the network.

I’ve just added a couple more blogs into the network so I can use a few extra points to run a case study. I’ll update with the results once I get them!

One thing that you will soon realise if you are serious about any sort of online marketing, whether that be affiliate marketing, AdSense or marketing your own eCommerce site, is that you need written content…and lots of it!

Not only do you need lots of content, but it needs to be as unique as possible. This is not an issue when you are writing 1 article for your website, however when you need hundreds of articles per day it becomes a little more difficult!

Obviously you could outsource them, however even outsourcing article writing at the cheapest rate you are going to be spending a lot of money to get that amount of content. This is where article spinning comes in.

I have been using The Best Spinner myself now for over 18 months so have decided to write a The Best Spinner Review here. I have been using version 2 of the spinner until recently when I updated to the new version 3, so this is a The Best Spinner 3 Review.

The Best Spinner 3 Auto Spin & Auto Rewrite Features

The reason most people will want to use The Best Spinner is for its auto spinning and auto rewriting functions. In order to show the quality of the rewrites we have taken a sample string and performed an auto rewrite and auto spin on it:

SAMPLE: The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog

AUTO REWRITE: The fast brown fox jumps within the lazy dog

AUTO SPIN: {The quick|The fast|The short|Rapid} {brown|dark brown|brownish|darkish} {fox|sibel|monk|he} {jumps|leaps|advances|gets} {over the|within the|on the|in the} {lazy|laid back|very lazy|sluggish} {dog|canine|puppy|pet}

The auto rewrite functions works by selecting all of the synonyms with the best alternative. In this case the 2 synonyms which were found are “The Quick” and “Over The” which were replaced with “The Fast” and “Within The”. While “The Fast” makes sense “Within The” changes the whole meaning of the sample sentence!

The auto spin doesn’t give great results either! One of the many combinations being: “Rapid darkish he advances in the sluggish pet”, however it does also give “The fast dark brown fox leaps on the very lazy puppy” which makes perfect sense!

As you can see the auto rewriting and spinning can be a little hit and miss. This may be fine if you do not care about the quality of the content, however I don’t recommend that you use these features and instead use…

Manual Spinning With The Best Spinner 3

When you insert an article into The Best Spinner you will notice that there are 3 tabs at the bottom of the page which are “Word/Phrase”, “Sentence” and “Paragraph”.

If you click the “Word/Phrase” tab you will be given a list of all of the relevant replacement keywords. For example if you highlight the keyword “Jumps”, you are given the options to choose “Jumps”, “Leaps”, “Advances”, “Gets” and “Springs”. You can then click each of the relevant words and they will automatically be inserted into the spintax for you. You can also add new words to the list if you need to.

Selecting the “Sentence” or “Paragraph” tabs allows you to rewrite each or the blocks of text individually which is then automatically inserted into the article for you. Simply type the new sentence or paragraph, hit enter and it will insert it for you and let you start typing the next variation. Once you have typed enough for that sentence or paragraph press tab and you will jump across to the next sentence or paragraph.

While it takes a while to spin the articles manually in this way, its definitely the quickest way of manually spinning an article at either word or sentence level.

As you are typing new sentences and paragraphs into The Best Spinner 3 it automatically checks the spelling for you. Any obvious mistakes are automatically corrected. For example “Teh” is automatically corrected to “The”. Any other mistakes which have more than one alternative are underlined for you to check. Simply click on the word and you will get a list of possible words.

Exporting Your Spun Articles From The Best Spinner 3

The Best Spinner 3 has kept the export features from the previous versions, but also added a few extra useful features. Obviously you are able to save the articles as plain text for use elsewhere.

You also have the option to “Generate Articles”. This allows you to have The Best Spinner save multiple versions (you select how many) versions of the article that you have open. These can be saved as individual files or as one long file. There is also the option to “Bulk Spin”, which as the name suggests, allows you to spin multiple text files at the same time.

If you are using a netowkr or piece of software which does not support the standard spintax then you are able to use the “Export Spin” function to create your own spintax formats. This makes it easy to use networks such as Article Ranks with The Best Spinner.

Two new features to “The Best Spinner 3” are “Generate & Compare” and “Compare Articles”. The first allows you to tell the software how many versions of the software you want to generate. It will then tell compare how unique they will all be. This is quite handy for seeing how many articles you can generate before the article uniqueness starts to drop too much.

The second feature “Compare Articles” allows you to paste in two different articles and it will check how unique they are and highlight any text which is the same. This is good if you are just rewriting one article and do not want any of the article to be the same as the original.

The Best Spinner Updates

The best spinner is constantly being updated with new features and fixed, as has been proven with the release of The Best Spinner 3. One of the biggest features of The Best Spinner is the cloud thesaurus which means that the thesaurus is being updated all the time.

The Best Spinner Discounts

Unfortunately there are no The Best Spinner discount codes at the minute. The software is just always a low price rather than having an inflated price and then offering discount codes.

The Best Spinner Trial

As with previous versions of the software you are able to take a The Best Spinner Trial which is $7 for 1 week. This should be long enough for you to find out if the software is for you or not. If not just cancel The Best Spinner trial and you won’t have to pay anything else.

The Best Spinner Cost

The best spinner costs just $77 (around £45 at the minute) per year. While many are put off by the yearly fees, this is definitely worth it if you are outsourcing any content and even more worth it if you are writing your own content. The Best Spinner could create hundreds of unique articles in minutes, how long would it take for you to write the same amount of articles and how much would it cost you if you outsource article writing?

You can buy The Best Spinner for just $77 by clicking here.

Ok, so unless you have been living under a rock for the past few months you will have seen that the latest “craze” is buying Google +1′s for your website in a hope that they will boost your search engine rankings. This post is not based on any research, nor am I saying that having real Google +1′s is a bad thing. Its based on common sense and the fact that you do not have real Google +1′s, you have artificial +1′s.

Firstly, before I start breaking it down. Lets have a look at some of the things that Google (probably) knows about your site:

Current Rankings

Backlinks (which determine the rankings)

Authority – is the site a new thin site or an aged authority on a subject?

Search Engine Click Through Rate

Search Engine Bounce Rate

If you have Analytics installed, they know pretty much everything about all of your visitors

If you have Analytics installed, they know roughly how many visitors you have and basic info about them

Now lets look at some of the problems with buying +1′s…

Consistency – As with links, there is little to no point getting 1,000 backlinks one day and none for the next month, if your website gets 1,000, 100, 50 or even 10 Google +1′s one day and then doesn’t get any for another month (or ever again), do you not think this might look a bit strange to Google? Surely if a site is naturally getting +1′s, it will continue to get these at a fairly regular pace. So if you do start buying +1′s, be prepared to be in it for the long haul. Nothing says “look Im buying +1′s” more than a spike of 50 on one day and never having any ever again.

Diversity – The chances are you are buying the +1′s from the same supplier that will have X different Google accounts, all set up using proxies to make them look like different accounts. When 50 accounts suddenly get created on the same day and all start bookmarking the same accounts at the same time, this may raise a flag with Google. Add to that the fact that the accounts will all be used for nothing other than +1′s and it will look even more obvious.

Conversion Rates – Google will have a rough average percentage of users that click +1. This is going to be a very low percentage at the minute. If your site gets 1,000 unique visitors per month and then gets 50 + 1′s in a few days, thats going to be a 5% conversion rate – which will be a lot higher than the average. Make things worse, lets say your site gets 200 unique visitors per month and then you buy 1,000 +1′s…

Google Sees EVERYTHING!

Lets think about this. You are trying to increase your Google search engine rankings. Google knows your current rankings. If you have Analytics installed it knows your traffic and where they come from. If you have AdSense, it knows roughly how much traffic your site has. So, Google knows your site is a poor quality affiliate/adsense site, so it does not rank your site very well.

Magically your website still gets 100 Google +1′s in 1 week. Google can see which accounts have +1′s your site and would you believe it, these same 100 accounts have bookmarked the same sites over and over again.

Do you really think that Google is now going to increase your search engine rankings? Or do you think that they may realise you buying artificial +1′s in order to increase your rankings? If so you may be better off spamming Matt Cutts blog in the hope of getting a backlink!

As I said, Im not saying that these wont work at the minute, Im not saying that real +1′s wont give you a boost, what I am saying is that you are using Googles own system to try and increase your rankings in their search engine. They will see everything! All it takes is for them to blacklist loads of Google accounts for +1 spam and then instantly have a list of domains which are looking to get hit with a penalty. I personally wouldnt think about buying +1′s for any site that you care about just yet.

Found For:

how can i have 200 visitors one day and non the next from google

is 1000 backlinks a day too much?

outsource google 1

When you are trying building a mini net you are going to need to buy lots of domain names. We have already covered how to quickly analyse domain backlinks, but once you have chosen the domains you want, you obviously need to buy them. After spending a while looking around for cheap domain names and adding the cost of WhoIs Privacy to them I have found the cheapest way of getting the domains. There is a little extra work involved rather than just registering all the domains at your usual registrant, but when you are ordering lots of domains it could be worth it.

Firstly, in order for this to work you need to order 5 domains or more at a time and preferably group them into batches of 5 .com domains or 5 .net/.org domains. Once you have them broken down into groups of 5 or more, go to GoDaddy and add all of the domains to your basket. Once you have added 5 to your basket you will automatically get free WhoIs Privacy for all the domains. Each domain will add at $11.99 for a .com domain and $14.99 for a .net or .org domain. Now you have a quick Google and find one of the many discount vouchers available. There are usually plenty of vouchers which will allow you to get a .com domain for $7.49 and there are also vouchers to get .net and .org domains for $7.49 – however you can not use both together. This is why I recommend you buy all .com or all .org/.net domains so that you get the maximum discount.

After you have added all 5 domains, selected the free WhoIs Privacy and added the discount code you should get all 5 domains for $38.35, $7.67 each including all fees.

So thats your first year sorted! However GoDaddy only provide free WhoIs Privacy for new domains and transfers, so when you renew the domain at the end of the first year you will lose your free WhoIs Privacy. So, rather than renewing the domains with GoDaddy, we transfer them out to another registrar. At the minute the next cheapest registrar is NameCheap.com. Their .com, .net and .org domains are all just under $10 and all include free WhoIs Privacy, but again, this is only for the first year. There is also usually a discount code which will take off around $1.

So you now have the domains at $7.67 each for the first year and aruond $9 for the second year. So, what about the third year? Remember, I said that GoDaddy gives free WhoIs Privacy for the first year when you register OR TRANSFER 5 or more domains and NameCheap also provides free WhoIs Privacy for the first year when you register OR TRANSFER a domain to them. Each year just transfer the domains from one registrar to the other. This means you will pay an average of around $8.30 per year for your domains including WhoIs Privacy.

If you can not be bothered to mess around switching registrars, or for some reason do not want to use GoDaddy then the cheapest registrar seems to be NameCheap.com. The cost of the domains are still the same at around $9 each and you get the first years WhoIs Privacy free. After the first year you can buy a “WhoIs Privacy 5 Pack” for $7.88 per year. This means that the 5 domains will cost you an average of $10.57 per year.Obviously if you have 50 domains, you are going to save yourself over $100 by switching the domains around each year.

If anyone knows of any cheaper registrars including WhoIs Privacy then let us know in the comments below.

Signing up on a forum to then go and drop a link straight away in your first post is an easy way of getting your account banned, the link deleted and your site reported as being a spammer. However this does not mean that you should not use forums for generating backlinks, you just need to be a bit more creative when placing your links.

Busy Forums!

If you choose a forum which is not very busy, the chances are that your posts are going to be picked up quickly as being spam and the moderators are pretty certain to pick up on any links you try and drop. You do not want a forum which is busy because of the amount of Xrumer blasts it is hit with, but sites which are genuinely busy with real users. This means you will be able to “blend in” a little better than a quiet forum.

Plan For The Future

This is my favourite way of dropping links and works very well on busy sites. Find a forum which is relevant to your site – or at least has relevant posts. Read the post and leave a VALID response. Do not just spam it – your post will be deleted! Leave a comment that will not stand out as being spam. If you can work your keyword in then that is great, however DO NOT LEAVE A LINK! Keep track of the URLs of where you have left your response and the date that you have left the response.

Leave it a few days or so until the post has “died” and nobody is posting anymore. This will usually mean the post has dropped off the front page and will have very few readers. Now go back to the site, login and go to the post that you create previously. Now edit your post and add the link to the post that you created. The chances of the link being found and deleted are now very slim!

Wink Wink

If you do not want to wait for the link and mess around going back to the site to edit your comments there is an easier and quicker way of getting your link. The biggest problem is that you do not get to use your anchor text for the link. Instead, leave a comment and insert an emoticon such as a smiley or winking smiley into the post and then create a link using the emoticon as the smiley. There will be no underline or blue box to indicate that the smiley is in fact a link.

This works best if you leave your comment and then on the next line leave 2 or 3 of the same smiley next to each other and make the second one a link. This reduces the chance of someone accidently putting their mouse over your link and finding your hidden link.

In a previous post I mentioned how to quickly analyse a domains backlinks. I have been looking to outsource the finding of these domains to someone else, however have not had much luck. Its not because its difficult or anythings, its just because you do need to use your brain a little bit.

I gave the instructions to a few of the most suitable applicants to “find an expired domain containing the word “light” which has more than 100 backlinks coming from more than 20 backlinks”. I also specified that the links should be high quality links and not blog comments, profile links or directories.

From the 3 applicants I emailed last week, one has replied, the other 2 have disappeared. The domain he has sent me is “TCLighting . net”. On first impressions it has the word “Light” in the description and has 450 backlinks – GREAT! The links come from a wide range of sites – even better! I never had any intention of buying this domain as the term “light” was just a test term I had asked them to look for, however I decided to check the domain a little further.

Most of the backlinks are blog comments, not so great, but not the end of the world. I opened a few of them up and noticed that the anchors where using terms relating to pills (you know, the ones beginning with V and C). Hmm, something seems strange there. So then I loaded the domain into Archive.org and had a look. The latest version shows a site selling the above pills – maybe the site was hacked. Nope, from the 3 years worth of data Archive.org has the site has always been selling those pills! Obviously links from a site like this arent going to do your site any good.

It just goes to show that even though on the surface it looks good, until you delve into its history properly.

A few months back we did our Linkamotion Review and mentioned how difficult it can be to add your articles into the system. We have put together a brief guide showing you how to import 50 posts into the system as quickly as possible.

Firstly, this tutorial relies on you having “TheBestSpinner”. If you do not have it then you can buy it from the link in the right bar of this site. It costs $77 a year but is well worth every penny!

Once you have your article spun to the required level in TheBestSpinner it is time to start preparing it for importing into Linkamotion. As well as the spun content you need to have written 50 unique articles. You can spin these, but I recommend that you have 50 unique titles handwritten as duplicate titles will not be accepted.

You should add your hyperlinks to the articles at this point as well – remember its one link per article.

You should now have your article as follows:

{Title1|Title2|Title3|…|Title50}

{Article|Body|In|Here|…All|Of|The|Article|…In|Valid|Spintax}

Now we will add in the start of the XML formatting to create the following:

<post>

<post_title>{Title1|Title2|Title3|…|Title50}</post_title>

<post_content>{Article|Body|In|Here|…All|Of|The|Article|…In|Valid|Spintax}</post_content>

</post>

As you can see we have added the “<post>”, “<post_title>” and “<post_content>” tags and relevant closing tags. This will allow TheBestSpinner to create a valid XML feed from the article when we save it.

In order to make TheBestSpinner create an XML you now use the “Generate Articles” button from in TheBestSpinner. You will be given the options for outputting the article. You want to change these as follows:

Number Of Articles: 50

Generate A Single Text File: Tick this box

Article Separator Text: Clear this field so its empty

Select N-th synonym from each spin block: Tick this box

Then click “Generate Articles” and give it the filename. TheBestSpinner will then create the start of your XML file for Linkamotion.

Now you need to open the .txt file that TheBestspinner has created. At the very top of the file you need to post in the following:

<?xml version=”1.0″ encoding=”utf-8″?>

<posts>

And then at the very bottom of the file you need to paste in:

</posts>

Save the file and rename it from a “.txt” to a “.xml” file and you are done!

Now you just need to login to Linkamotion, go to the project page and import the XML file. This will add each of the articles into the system in “draft” format. Now you just need to go to the “posts” section, select all of the articles you have just imported (HINT: Set the number of articles per page to 50 under the screen options section) and then click edit.

Change the status on all of the articles from “Draft” to “Pending”, change the category and add the keywords you want to use, then update it! Done! The whole process should only take a couple of minutes and will have all 50 of your articles imported straight into the system.

In the previous post I explained about buying domains with backlinks and how to check that the domain has a strong backlink profile. While I will always check the links on any domain I am looking to buy manually, this post will highlight a few quick and easy checks that you can do that will give you a rough idea of whether or not the domain is worth buying.

Yahoo Site Explorer

The original and most popular tool for checking backlinks. Simply put your URL in and wait for the results. It will return the first 1,000 backlinks which can be downloaded in TSV format. I would use this for manually checking the backlinks. A quick scroll down the first page will give you a brief overview of the quality and diversification of the links. While it gives you the 1,000 URL’s, it takes some time to work out exactely what you are getting.

Go To Yahoo Site Explorer.

Open Site Explorer

Open Site Explorer is similar to Yahoo Site Explorer, however breaks the data down a lot easier for you. When you first search it will show you a few different metrics. It will only show the 25 “most important” backlinks, however it will allow you to download the full 1,000 as you could from Yahoo Site Explorer. It also instantly shows you how many different domains link to your domain and generates a few “authority” ratings.

If you go to the “Anchor Text Distribution” tab you can instantly see the breakdown of the keywords used as anchors. While it may not matter too much, it is obviously better if the site does use relevent keywords as anchors.

The final tab is “Full List Of Metrics”. This tab shows you the total number of links, the number of domains that link to you and one of the most interesting things – the percentage of nofollow and dofollow links!

Go To Open Site Explorer

Host & IP Analyser

This backlink analyser checks how many backlinks come from each domain and is broken down into .com/.net/.org etc. The most important thing with this tool is the summary at the very bottom of the page which tells you how many links, from how many hosts and the number of IP addresses those hosts are spread over and then finally the number of C classes the domains are hosted on. This is good for highlighting how sites which have been part of a network that have all been hosted on the same IP.

Go To Host & IP Analyser

IPageRank

UPDATE – After doing a little more checking it appear that a lot of the data on this site is unreliable. I will update with an alternative shortly.

This tool does an overview of various stats relating to the domain including:

Page Rank

Alexa Rank

Dmoz Listing

Yahoo Directory Listing

Backlinks In Yahoo

Backlinks In Altavista

Backlinks In AllTheWeb

Domain Age – This isn’t accurate. It is the date since the domain was first registered and is not reset if the domain is dropped.

Delicious Listings

Digg Listings

Reddit Listings

Technorati Listings

StumbleUpon Listings

Clipmark Listings

As you can see there is quite a bit of valuable information there which the others do not supply without you digging around.

Go To IPageRank.org

As I’ve said before, I would use Scrapebox to strip out all of the domains without any backlinks (or less than the amount I want) and then use these tools to cut the list down even further using my own criteria. From here I will MANUALLY check any stats I am interested in. This means if you want a site which is in DMOZ and the tool has said it is, check for yourself BEFORE buying the domain! If you want a site which only has at least 10 Diggs and the tool says it has 100, check Digg yourself and make sure it is valid! There is no reason they shouldn’t be valid, but its best to check these things before spending money on domains.

This blog was originally supposed to be about outsourcing work, however in order to be able to outsource work properly you really need to be able to do the work yourself first. This post will give you 5 easy tips to help you with writing a blog post for your own site.

Make the headline clear. The headline should sum up the whole blog post in a few words. Newspapers are perfect resources for looking for ideas and examples of how the headers should look.

When you are writing a blog post for your own site it doesn’t need to be an essay. The chances are if it’s too long it will put people off reading it. Plus it is a lot easier to write a 200-300 word post than a 500+ word article.

When you write a blog post, try and format it with the relevant headings, sub headings and lists of bullet points. It will make it easier for people to read and also easier to write.

Dont try and cram a keyword in as every other word when writing a blog post, but do try and use your keywords. Take a look at some of the low search volume keywords listed in Google Keyword tool, typically 3 or 4 words and try to use a handful of these within the post.

Where you have similar posts, make a point of linking them together. Not only will this increase your page views as the visitors spend more time browsing your site, but it will also help with your SEO.

Right, so now you have the basics down, you can start to outsource article writing to others. Just make sure they know what they are doing as well.

I’ve had a couple of people email me after the last few posts and ask why you should build your own mini-net.Obviously they knew that the reason for building the mini-nets was to build backlinks to their websites, the problem was that they saw them as being expensive and hardwork when networks such as Linkamotion exist. So…why should you build your own mini-net?

Building A Mini-Net Is Cheaper!

Ok – you could argue this either way, but for anyone looking to build a solid network of sites – building your own mini-net is cheaper than using someone elses network. Lets look at it this way. If you wanted to use Linkamotion for a year, this would cost you 12 x $47 = $564. What do you get for $564? Your links will stay on the homepage for a couple of weeks after each publication, so in order to keep your article on the front you are going to need to publish 2 or 3 articles per month for each link you want. These sites are high PR, but they arent relevent to your niche, you will also be sharing the “juice” with 30-50 other sites which you have no control over. For each article, if you outsource article writing, you are going to be paying around $5 per article (100 word+ spun article with 50 unique articles), this is going to add around $200 per year.

Building a mini-net will cost you $5-7.50 per domain depending where you buy them from. If we work with the cost being $7.50 per domain, you could buy 50 relevent domains for $375. You could use free hosting for all 50 sites so the hosting costs are $0. You will obviously need to remake the sites, however as I said in one of the previous posts this can be done for around $5 per site. this brings the total cost to $625. These may not be high PR sites (yet), but they are relevent and if you have done your research properly should have decent backlink profiles.

Looking at Linkamotion again, the costs will be as follows:

1 Link on 50 sites, $750 per year. 2 Links on 50 sites, $950 per year. 3 links on 50 sites, $1150. Each additional link costs around $200 for the content. These costs will remain the same each year, every year, until the network is close or you cancel.

Now look at the price of building your own network:

1 Link on 50 sites, $625 per year. 2 Links on 50 sites, $625 sites per year. 3 links on 50 sites, $625. You see the picture? You get unlimited links on those 50 sites for the same price.

When when you look at it again, the cost is even better. The prices above are the first year costs. The second year and each year after will only cost you the $375 for the domains as the sites will already be there!

Network Quality

As we mentioned above, anybody who is willing to pay the $47 per month or whatever the particular network is charging can join one of these networks and have their sites advertised on the same sites. Most of the time this wont be an issue, however if you are linking to a site promoting baby toys, do you want your links coming from the same sites that are adverting diet pills or instant cash loans? The quality of the content that is usually published on these networks is also usually low quality spun content which then pulls down the quality of the sites. By building your own network you can ensure that their is a limit to the number of links on the site and also control the quality of the content.

Network Security

Imagine pumping $1150 into a network over a year, keeping your links on the first page then all of a sudden the network disappears. The owner decides to close the network – all of your links gone! All of the articles on subpages have all gone as well! Guess what, your rankings have gone as well! By building your own network you know the sites will be there as long as you continue to renew them.

URL’s Of Your Links

None of the networks like to tell you where your links have been published which means that most of the time you can never find the links as they are often not indexed in the search engines, so then you need to build backlinks to them. How do you build backlinks to them if you do not know where they are though? You can’t and therefore your links may as well not exist. By controlling the sites yourself, you know where the links are and can therefore boost the sites yourself – and eventually turn them into high PR, relevent sites!

Make Money Yourself

Obviously you can sell links on your own site to other relevent sites. Once the sites have aged a little, you should easily be able to sell a link on the homepage for a year for $10-20 or more if the sites gains page rank. Even with PR0/Pr1, as the sites are relevent real sites rather than spammed autoblogs, other webmasters will pay decent money for the links. If you sell 1 link per site at $10 per year, you get the use of the network for free and actually make yourself $125 per year as well. You could then use this to expand the network further and add a further 15 sites to the network.

Thats the reasons for building your own mini net covered. Now if you are looking for the reasons not to use your own network and to use a paid network such as linkamotion, here are a few of the advantages of those types of network:

Instant access to entire network for $47.

Besides writing the articles, you have no work to do.

Building a mini net requires researching good quality domains, building the sites (or outsourcing them) and uploading the sites – all this takes time.

Diversity! Even with your own mini-net, adding a private or public network will add even more IP diversity. Why not use the networks to boost your own network!

There are two different “type” of rebuilding that can be done using the information from Archive.org. The first, could land you in trouble if any of the content is protected by copyright as it involves making an exact replica of the site as it was. If any of that content was protected by copyright then you are infringing on that copyright. The second is what I call a “Update Rebuild” where you rebuld the site with the same pages, using a new layout/theme and rewriting all of the content enough so that its not the same as what was on the site, but is close enough that Google and any real users still think it is the same site.

NOT RECOMMENDED METHOD: If you are doing an exact replica of the site

The first thing to do is to head over to Archive.org and enter the domain that you are looking to rebuild. Once you have the results you want to go to the most recent archive of the site which will give you a URL along the lines of.

http://web.archive.org/web/20101129223835/http://www.amazon.com/

The first method is automated using a tool called HTTracker. This will automatically copy all the files to your computer for you, however its not the neatest recreation. If you use this method its probably worth spending a few minutes tidying everything up once it has recreated the files. You may also need to spend a few minutes tweaking the settings in order to get all the files that you need but it is still probably quicker than doing it manually.

If you would rather do it manually though then just view the source code of the page and save it to a text file in a folder on your computer. Browse around the site and save every page that you find in the same way. Obviously with a site like Amazon this would take forever, however most of the sites in my mini-net have had around 5-10 pages so it only takes a few minutes.

Once you have the files saved to your computer, you will need to rename them all to “.HTML” files. After they have been renamed, open them up in your preferred HTML editor or notepad and remove the Archive.org toolbar from each page. This will be near the top of the file and is commented so you know exactely what you should be removing. While you have the pages open you will also want to remove any Google Anayltics code. With this basic cleanup done, save all of the files.

Now, starting with the index.html, open each file one at a time and look for any linked files such as CSS files and images. These will be in the format:

http://web.archive.org/web/20101129222514im_/http://g-ecx.images-amazon.com/images/G/01/gno/images/orangeBlue/navPackedSprites-US-16._V212310439_.png

Simply put that into your browser and save the image to the relevent folder on your computer. The folder would be “/images/G/01/gno/images/orangeBlue/” in this case. You will then need to edit the URL in the file to change it so “/images/G/01/gno/images/orangeBlue/navPackedSprites-US-16._V212310439_.png”. If its a good site then you could always tidy it up a bit a change the folder structure and HTML file to something neater such as “/images/navSprites.png”.

RECOMMENDED METHOD: If you are doing an update rebuild, this is that you would do next:

Rather than scraping all of the content, what I prefer to do is to create a blank word document and paste in the URLs of all of the pages on the site such as “contact.htm” or “about-us.html”. I will then copy any text from the page and paste it into the word document as well. I will then rewrite the content so that it is similar, but is different enough that it is not infringing any copyright on the content and then paste it into either wordpress or a new HTML template I have decided to use for the site.

Now you just need to find somewhere to add your links. I personally prefer using incontext links (ie links to my sites from within the body of the text on the page), however you can obviously use blogroll or footer links if you want.

The final step is to make sure that you have a 301 redirect for any pages that you have missed incase their are any links going into those pages, after all, you want all the links you can get!

Obviously this is a very boring and long winded task, however it is easy and can be outsourced for next to nothing. I have had a 6 page site containing around 1,000 words of content rebuilt for $5 recently. I sent them the URL of the new theme to download and the URL of the Archive.org link. They recreated all 6 pages with the same URLs, created the navigation between all the pages and rewrote each page of content before saving it and sending them to me. This would have probably taken me an hour including rewriting the content so its worth outsourcing if you have a lot to do!

While checking through the stats I noticed one of my sites had taken a big drop in its rankings for one of its main keywords. I had a look at the rankings and noticed that it had been pushed down from 2nd where it had been sitting for a few months to number 3, which put it halfway down the page due to all the Google “extra” results such as shopping. The reason for the drop was that the site above me had another page which had made its way onto the front page and instantly jumped up to number 2 to be grouped with the other page.

Great! I had been slowly working on the site trying to push it up to number 1 and they had just come along and knocked me down a spot. Needless to say I wasn’t happy.

I decided to try something out to see if it would work, and to my suprise it did! Firstly, I wanted to see where the page was actually being ranked – obviously it had jumped to 2nd, but that was only due to the grouping. As an example if you look at: http://www.google.co.uk/search?q=harry+potter+dvd you will see that Amazon have the top 3 spots for the term “Harry Potter DVD”. This is the similar situation that I found myself in. I then added “?num=9″ to the URL to give http://www.google.co.uk/search?q=harry+potter+dvd&num=9. If you notice that now, Amazon only has the top 2. Try it again with http://www.google.co.uk/search?q=harry+potter+dvd&num=8 and you will notice Amazon only has 1 listing now! This means that the other 2 listings are really ranked at 9th and 10th! If the site had still had all of the listings you change the number at the end each time until the double listing disppears. The biggest pain is the fact that this DOES NOT work with Google Instant turned on so you will need to turn this off first.

Fortunately for me the new page was 10th. I ran an Article Marketing Robot blast at the site that was then 11th in order to generate them some backlinks, using the terms I wanted my site to rank for. Within a couple of days my site was back at 2nd and the double listing was gone! The site I had built the links to was now ranking 10th which had split up the double listing.

Now I can get back onto pushing it up to number 1!

Designing and building a theme for a site which you do not really compare about is not the most rewarding task. If you are going to attempt to build a mini-net then you are going to need to be able to quickly knock out a few different themes if you use wordpress or HTML/CSS layouts if you opt for a traditional static site pretty quickly, while still looking quite good.

If you want to rebuild the site to its original form then keep an eye out for our next post which will cover that, however if you are not interested in rebuilding the old site but want to put your own site on it then a free wordpress theme or CSS layout will do the job for you. Obviously if you have installed wordpress you will have access to a wide range of themes through the “themes” section of the admin control panel, although they aren’t always the best and often overused.

In the previous post about building a mini-net I mentioned that one of the options for buying domains for your mini-net is to buy dropped domains with existing backlinks. This post will give you some more tips to help you find the best domains for your mini-net.

Finding Relevent Domains

As an example, through this post we will assume that you have a site about digital cameras that you are trying to build a mini-net for. Ideally the sites in your mini-net want to be as closely related to your main site as possible as this will make the sites look more natural when you put the link to your site on it. You want to be looking through lists of dropped domains for domains with the term “photo” or “camera” in as a first step as these are the ones which are going to be obvious sites for linking to a digital camera site. Once you have god a list of all of those domains, start thinking outside the box a little. What other sites may have a link to a digital camera site? Sites with the words “tech”, “gadget”, “digital”, “mobile” etc etc. If you still dont have a very large list go even further, “gift”, “present”, “wedding”, “art”, etc etc. Why would you want a wedding site? Because believe it or not, people take photos at weddings

This is down to personal preference, but I only buy domains which are either .com, .net, .org, .co.uk or .org.uk for my mini-nets. I’ve seen other mini-nets built entirely on .info domains, but as I said, its personal preference.

Finding Domains With Backlinks

Now that you have your (hopefully) long list of keywords, open up scrapebox and paste all of the domains in. Then use the “Backlink Checker” tool to run all of the domains through Yahoo Site Explorer and see how many backlinks each site has. Once it has finished (will take a while depending on list site, proxies and connection speed), export it to Excel. Most of the domains will have 0 backlinks, which is the reason why you need a large list. Personally I delete everything from the list which has less than 30 backlinks, but you can pick any number you like.

You should now have a list of domains which have a good number of backlinks. This is the boring part. Using either the Scrapebox backlink checker or your browser, manually view the backlinks of each of the domains in the list. You are looking for a domain which has links from relevent sites already. If the domain mainly has of spammy profile links or scrapebox comments then delete those from the list. If the domain has some good quality comment backlinks – scrape those for your own use later on! Ideally you want domains which have links that have been placed by the site owner, either in the body of the site or the footer/blogroll.

You want the links coming from as many different sites as possible. I have seen domains which have had 4000+ backlinks, however they all come from one website in a forum footer. I would rather take a domain which has 100 backlinks from 50 different domains as not only do I think it looks better, but the chances of all those links disappearing is very slim. If all the links come from one site then there is a possibility that the owner will remove the links when they realise the site has changed and you then have a worthless domain.

While I am looking at the sites to see where the backlinks are coming from, I will also see what other links are on that site. The chances are that if there is one broken link there may be others as well which could instantly give you another domain to add to your list.

After looking through the backlink profiles, depending on your niche and the size of your list to start off with you will have a handful of domains which are perfect for your mini-net! Obviously you could outsource this task at oDesk or somewhere similar. Just ask them to find X number of domains which have your selected keywords in them that have more than XXX backlinks to them.

At the minute, the best option for buying domains for your mini-net is through 1and1.com as they are doing the first year for $4.99 including free whois protection. After the first year its only $9.99.

The next post will look at the options for building a site to put on your new domain.

We all know that the vast majority of any SEO campaign is based around obtaining links. While links from similar sites are often considered to be the most powerful, they aren’t the easiest or cheapest to obtain, especially if your site doesn’t actually have any content worth linking to. So how do you get around this? Building your own network of sites based around the niche of your main site gives you a collection of sites that you control and therefore can create links to your money site on.

This guide will cover the basics to get you started creating your own mini nets.

Domains For Your Mini Net

Obvious you cant start a network of sites without domain names. There are a few ways you can buy domain names for your mini net which we will look at now.

New Domains For Your Mini Net

The easiest way of buying domains for your mini net is to just buy new domains from your favourite registrar. No research, no added premium, just order your domains and job done.

High PR Domains For Your Mini Net

Many people debate the value of PR now, however until Google scrap it, these sites will always carry a premium. You can either buy high PR domains from sites such as Digital Point or Flippa, or domains that are expiring from auction sites such as GoDaddy. This would involve scraping a list of domains which are expiring and then running them through Scrapebox to check the page ranks.
The positives are of course that you have “instant authority” and you can sell links on your site if wanted. The negatives are that you will pay high $xx for a PR2/3 site and into $xxx for PR4+, the chances of you getting a domain which is relevant to your niche is slim and there is always a risk that after paying for the domain it will lose the PR it had.

Domains With Backlinks For Your Mini Net

Similar to the high PR domains, these sites can be bought from Digital Point, Flippa or GoDaddy auctions. Alternatively you could search a list of dropped domains for your keywords and pull off a list of sites which have expired. Once you have the list you can run it through Scrapebox and get a list of the sites which have backlinks. Just check the backlinks and buy any which have a good backlink profile.

Which Is Best?

The method you use will depend on personal preference. I personally use a mixture of high PR domains and dropped domains with backlinks. If you are making a mini net in order to build links to a gardening site, you would be looking for domain names such as:
www.nashvillegardening.com
www.gemmasgardenphotos.com
www.keepgardensgreen.org
www.2011flowershow.org
These domains are all different enough so that they don’t look too similar (rather than www.gardening111.com, www.gardening222.com, www.gardening333.com, etc – and yes, I have seen people building networks like this!), but they are all still obvious gardening sites.

Mini Net Privacy

One of the most important things in your mini net will be ensuring that the sites do not look like they are all owned by the same person. The whole point of this mini net is to create a network of sites that you control, but look like genuine sites which have naturally linked to each other.
One of the biggest giveaways of a mini net is that all of the sites are registered with exactly the same details. Some people argue that you do not need the privacy, however as with everything I prefer to be safe rather than sorry. Some registrars such as NameCheap and 1&1 offer free domain privacy, other companies such as GoDaddy charge $6.99 per year for it. If you are building a UK mini net, it is worth noting that the private whois is free for individuals, however it still shows your name. Of course, we wouldn’t encourage using fake registration info.

Hosting For Your Mini Net – Free & Paid

Once you have your domain names in place, the next thing is the hosting. Depending on how many mini nets you are building and the type of domains you have bought, you could just sign up with a selection of different free hosts. This would give you a range of different hosts and IPs from around the world. The downside is obviously that the free hosts are usually not as reliable as paid hosts.
If you have paid $xxx for a high PR domain, then it is worth paying the little extra for paid hosting. You can buy a multi C class hosting account which will give you a range of IPs to use for around $2-$3 per IP address per month.

Mini Net Content

This is the place where most people seem to slip up. They spend a small fortune on domains and hosting, but then put up a single article stolen from EzineArticles or an article that has just been automatically spun.
Firstly, I recommend 4 or 5 pages per site as a minimum, excluding the contact us page and other pages you decide to include such as “terms & conditions” and “privacy”. I try to make sure that each page has at least 250 words on it and either a photo of video.
If the particular site is www.2011flowershow.org then the pages may be “Flower Show Photos”, “Previous Flower Shows”, “Flower Show Entrants” and “Getting To The Flower Show”. I will either write or outsource 4 x 250 word articles, each about those specific items. As we all know, the search engines can’t “read” your content so they do not know if its accurate or not. This means that your page about “Getting To The Flower Show” can just talk about ways that you might get to an imaginary flower show, covering things such as how to travel and parking – it doesn’t need to be accurate.
As well as having unique content, each site should have its own layout of wordpress theme. I have seen many mini nets which all have the same wordpress theme on them, or are made using HTML pages which are all the same! You need to make each site look unique.
Another common mistake on mini nets is people using Google Analytics or Google AdSense on all of their sites. Believe it or not, Google, the search engine you are trying to trick into thinking these sites are all real sites which are not owned by you, has access to Google Analytics and AdSense. Nothing will shout “private network” more than a cluster of sites using the same Analytics and AdSense codes.

Mini Net Interlinking

Many people suggest not interlinking your mini net properties, however we have found that linking them together in small clusters creates a good system. We usually use 4 or 5 sites in each mini net cluster. Each site will link to 1 or 2 others in the same mini net, being careful to try and avoid creating a close wheel. These are in context links rather than blogroll/footer links in order to try and make them look more natural.

Mixing Web 2.0 Into Your Mini Net

As well as linking the sites to each other, I have found that mixing in a few web 2.0 properties such as Squidoo and Weebly not only strengthens the network but also helps to make your mini net seem a little more natural. As well as adding some of these properties into the mix, most of the sites will also link to another site such as Wikipedia or an authority site in that niche – obviously one which isn’t a competitor! Usually this is a non profit site such as “Flower Association” etc.

Mini Net Boosting

Of course, once you have your network in place it could be very easy to just forget about it. However in order to make the most of your mini net you should be performing regular boosting across the network. This doesn’t have to be a large backlinking campaign. We would suggest that you maybe throw a few good quality blog comments at them each month. By high quality we mean that the name is a real name, the comment is about the topic and it is on a good quality page – not an auto approve comment page that has been spammed to death.
As well as the blog comments, I would create an article, spin it at sentence and word level and then submit it using Article Marketing Robot. Each article having 1 or 2 links to a random site in the mini net. This will create a few in context links for the site. Alternatively you can use Linkamotion instead of Article Marketing Robot.
